Welcome to issue 9 of the Stellar Woman magazine

I cannot believe that it is issue 9!  It feels like yesterday that we started publishing and spreading knowledge to all women to empower them to see new possibilities, learn and move towards their greatness and make impact. It is a great privilege and honour to be bringing you stories of the amazing stellar women in issue 9. Issue 9 is about striving for excellence. The women interviewed are from different parts of the globe including Australia, Singapore, US, Norway, UK and from different sectors including, Marketing, Personal Development, Business, Logistics and supply chain and Education and Learning. I have to say, that I feel that after reading or listening, or watching the interviews in this issue, you will be completely changed as a woman, a professional and a leader. Your performance and delivery will rise to a new level. This issue comes at the time when we – women continue to raise our consciousness towards what’s possible for us and within us -our humanly potential and as society makes the necessary shifts to embrace our contribution. The next level is required of us. So, we must learn, adopt, master our craft and continuously strive for excellence to be able to make greater impact.

All the women interviewed and our expert contributors have affirmed that striving for excellence isn’t perfectionism but it is raising the bar for one to do their very best. This is  very important to all women leaders and organisations. What was also undebatable was the need to have striving for excellence as an organisational value. All the women had striving for excellence as a value in their organisations. As a value, it means it becomes the way the organisation does business.   Our cover woman Hala Taha who is a podcast princess, LinkedIn queen, founder of YAP media and YAP Network agency gives everything she does 110 % and would, if possible, tattoo the phrase “the way you do anything, is the way you do everything.” This is because she’s focused at ensuring that she serves to the highest level in both her personal and professional life. She encourages women to never lose their purpose no matter what, to develop confidence and expertise in a key area and learn to skill stack so that they can become the best version of themselves and be indispensable in whatever area of service. An aspect echoed by Oprah Winfrey.

Karen Spens who is the president of BI Norwegian Business School – one of the best executive education providers in the world, affirms that what makes BI outstanding is the keen focus on excellence. The notion is in the school’s DNA.  She calls for women to never give up, to believe in themselves and support and shine other women’s light. Her mantra -listen, learn and lead provides you with a leadership approach that can only lead to excellence and greater impact.

Hui Hui who is the Founder and CEO of Impact University and Inner World Training, offers you almost a lifetime coaching within her interview from her systematic approach of creating impact, influence and then income. Hui Hui like Taha is inspired by the same phrase of “the way you do anything, is the way you do everything.” Hui Hui’s approach to excellence was developed from childhood from her parents. Hui Hui obsesses about two things – growing herself and bringing client results. With this approach excellence becomes part of the process.

Gina Balarin founder and CEO of Verbalistic articulates what striving for excellence means which is working towards the best. She provides a clear perspective of how she strives for excellence and guides you to the notion. Get it done as good is better than perfect. She notes that the move towards excellence requires recognition of professionalism and encourages you to get the required qualification and chartered status like being a chartered marketer and hold yourself accountable and responsible. She affirms that this will enable you to keep improving and moving towards excellence. She encourages women to celebrate all wins and celebrate each other’s win. She would like to see more women in international government with at least 60% as this would make a massive shift in everything.

The issue also brings you articles covering strategies to help you on your journey to excellence for your personal, professional and business growth. Both Monica Bradley and Uma Subramanian’s articles take you through the steps of developing your mindset, strategies and habits towards excellence. Ann- Justi’ s article allows you to have a wider perspective to growth and excellence. Divya’s takes you through your realisation of the potential that could come from putting a pen on paper. My article will draw you to build from inside by focusing on yourself identity and self-esteem as you strive towards excellence.

We are thrilled to get new expert contributors in areas of mind and body to help women enhance their wellbeing. We learn more about peri and post menopause from Teresa Russell as an aspect that seems to be new not as a bodily biological experience but as a notion for women’s open discussion and Christina Neal brings us to the awareness of the need to understand dementia’s impact on women.  Don’t forget to check out chic outfits to exude excellence.

Wishing you all a very happy read and happy summer!

From me and the Stellar Woman magazine team.
