Chief Editor’s Note – Radiance Reborn

Radiance is often mistaken for something loud, youthful, or effortless. However, the women in this issue remind us that true radiance is forged over time. It is shaped through service, loss, courage, restraint, and compassion. It is not rushed. It is earned, sustained, and shared.

In this Radiance Reborn issue, we feature three women whose lives illuminate what it truly means to lead from within. Dr. Joanna Abeyie shows us that leadership rooted in equity is not performative, it is lived. Through education, inclusion, and intentional action, she reminds us that leadership is not about status, but responsibility, and that creating belonging is daily work. Her radiance lies in her clarity of purpose and her refusal to accept systems that leave voices unseen.

Hon. Victoria Sekitoleko embodies a different, equally powerful light – the radiance of wisdom. In this season of her life, she teaches us that leadership does not require noise. It requires focus, integrity, and knowing when restraint is strength. Her story is one of service across generations, grounded in realism, discipline, and humanity. She reminds us that no one rises alone, and that true power is knowing where to invest your energy and when to hold steady.

Jessica P. Hansen’s radiance flows from compassion in action. Working at the intersection of humanity’s deepest suffering and greatest resilience, she reframes leadership as protection, dignity, and access. Her voice calls us beyond saviour mindsets and into collaborative, sustainable change. Through her work, we are reminded that easing suffering and understanding the world more deeply are not separate purposes -they are intertwined.

Together, these women show us that radiance is reborn each time a woman chooses purpose over performance, service over ego, and clarity over fear. In this issue, we are also honoured to learn from our stellar expert contributors: Divya Parekh, who explores The Rebirth of Inner AuthorityMonica Bradley, who invites us to use the festive season as a powerful Festive ResetDr Catherine Jackson, who guides us through Reflect, Reset, and RenewChristina Collison who reflects on How She Became More Optimistic and Happier runner; and Ann-Justi, who remind us that Every day and Every Season Are New for YouCristal Johnston, who offers a Holiday Reset Journal to support wellbeing during the holidays; Theresa Lester Russell, who shares insights on Reinvesting in Ourselves Through Perimenopause; and Stella Olivia Kikoyo, who reflects on Identity as the Greatest Gift You Can Give Yourself, alongside Radiance Reborn in Business: Why Brand Clarity Must Lead in Uncertain Times. With purpose and light,
